This is a light weight open weave, easy to stitch, 100% cotton fabric very suitable to use for the ‘ground’ (backing) fabric to stitch boro pieces on. It is also a good backing fabric if you want to stitch a sashiko design through more than one layer of cloth, or if you need a lightweight fabric to build a hand stitching applique design on. Ordering: This fabric is 44″ wide. Your fabric will be sent to you in oneuncut piece. Please order 1 unit for each 1/4 meter (10″ x 44″) of fabric. Example: 2 units + 1/2 meter, 4 units = 1 meter.
